Governance & Ethics

Editorial Policy

Our standards of verification, peer review, conflict disclosure, and correction transparency.

1. Fact-Checking & Technical Verification

Every technical article detailing cosmetic chemistry, skin physiology, or application mechanics is fact-checked against published peer-reviewed literature (including the Journal of Cosmetic Science and International Journal of Cosmetic Science).

We do not fabricate founding dates, editorial awards, or reader counts. Our reporting reflects authentic contemporary practices without synthetic hyperbole.

2. Independence & Commercial Separation

Makeup Artist Show does not accept paid undisclosed product placement or sponsored reviews disguised as journalism. When regional artists or studios (such as Mỹ Trân Makeup in Ho Chi Minh City) are featured contextually, selections are made strictly on artistic merit, regional cultural relevance, and technical rigor.

3. Visual Sourcing & Photographic Ethics

Photography is the centerpiece of our publication. We mandate that editorial imagery depicts authentic skin texture. We strictly prohibit heavily filtered, AI-generated faces passed off as real beauty work. All imagery is licensed or contributed with explicit photographer and model attribution.

4. Transparent Corrections Policy

When a factual, scientific, or attribution error occurs, we correct it promptly. Substantive corrections are marked with an italicized footnote at the base of the article detailing the date and nature of the modification.

Readers are invited to report potential inaccuracies directly to corrections@makeupartistshow.com.
